...Walk Softly

Posted by Picasa

Here is my "Being Green" piece for the Timberline Gallery show which opens tomorrow. We were given the freedom to work in any medium we wanted to....so this is kind of a play piece for me since I most always work in fiber.
She is called, "Walk Softly in Spring"
I like her.

She's way sweet and happy. On the one hand, she looks heavy; on the other, she looks as if she could float away.

Oooo, I like her too. She's beautiful Julie! Looks like we've all been busy creating these last few days. Blessings and sweet wishes for you tomorrow.

I got both your emails yesterday. Will wait on your reply.

Very nice! I'm glad you experimented with new ideas and that you are happy with the result. It's always good to "shake ourselves up" and try something new. I always feel like I learn a lot in the process and the new knowledge carries on into later work.

Thank you Ladies and Gentleman...

I enjoyed the process and she is sweet and happy...and floaty & heavy.
I made a lot of those little flowers...many more than I used..it became a meditation. I did paint the background. It was a fun piece to do...
Tomorrow is the artist reception and I'll find out what the general public, or is it, public at large?..think about her....

Enjoy...

Thank you Lisa...yes. it's dear Gaia giving birth in Spring...

There was a woman at the art hop who was frightened by her...I think that is fascinating...I've done some figures who might me a little scary, but I don't get anything scary from Gaia...??????
hug, hug
