Instead of exploring space, I would like to see us explore the realm of lost socks as I too have no idea how they completely and permanently disappear right here in my house. Some later turn up folded inside a sheet or blanket or lost behind some furniture, but most are never seen again.
Actually, I think a couple of your lost socks might be living at our house. Isn't it funny how they just vanish?!? :) Silke
LOL...That is a good question, if you find the answer let me know..

They escape from the dryer, make their way out to the highways...you know, you see them squished on the sides of the road, sometimes they find an old shoe as a companion..but remember, there are never two, just one of each..they like it that way.
I think the washer and dryer eat them. You know they just suck them up through all those little holes. Where else can they possibly be????

I hear that there's a colony of lost socks in New Jersey.
You make me laugh, I have very clever visitor..
If they really are in New Jersey I bet it won't be long until they have their own reality show....hug, hug
My lost socks go on a vacation somewhere only to turn up when I don't need them.

Maybe they're asking to be loved for themselves, and not just for what you can get from them.
LOL...loved the sock photo. I actually got to play a Sock in a great show once....even had a scene partner "Other Sock" It was a musical for kids and the song I sang was "Get lost with me...other sock"
