Like Attracts Like

Thursday August 18, 2011

The law of opposites attracting may apply in the physical world, but in the spiritual, it’s like attracts like.
Imitating the Creator’s unconditional love for humanity is how you bring love into your life, and create harmony between yourself and other people, and between humanity and the natural world.

On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that you should never be content with so little when you can reach out for something big.

Charles L. Allen asked a question about that, wondering why so many people settle for so little. You do not have to place yourself among them. The world is an abundant place. Abundant with opportunity, abundant with good fortune, abundant with ideas, and abundant with love.

Reach into that abundance and take what is rightfully yours. It is your inheritance, gifted to you by God. Let yourself have it. Do not fail to reach for it for fear that it will not come to you. How can it come to you if you do not reach for it?

Do not be content with so little. Reach, stretch, for something big.

Love, Your Friend....Neale

I would absolutely love to believe such things, but children are starving by the thousands; where is their abundance? I don't get it, Julie.

Snow...I know, I know....every time I post something like this I go to that you question comes from...I guess for me it's a believe if we all stretched to our highest potential, reached for our highest good, we would enfold the whole world and all the children in it...but I don't know.xox

Which reminds me of the 100th monkey belief, only in that case when a certain level of knowing is reached, the knowledge obtained by a critical mass of people makes a leap into everyone's mind all around the world.

I spent much of my life trying to hang onto faith in a benevolent universe, but I finally decided that it was preferable to let it go than to try to believe that which seemed to contradict the evidence. As you might have noticed, readers of my blog sometimes suggests that I look at things from what they would claim to be a higher or more spiritual perspective, and I always ask for proof, but there is none--or at least none that they see fit to present--and they often seem to be annoyed that I asked. I appreciate you for not doing that.

I don't believe in a benevolent universe,either...I believe if there is something bigger it just started things rolling and now is just a watcher. What we do with our gifts and what we stumble upon in this lifetime makes a difference in the world. Most of us know what's right and what's wrong...it's up to use to reach toward a better life for each of us. I believe that each of us can lift another...move someone to action...work together toward a better world...but a benevolent universe...I don't think so.
Hope this makes some kind of sense Snow...thanks for engaging..xo

In regard to how you live your life, what would you say the difference is between a deist--which I take it that you are--and an atheist--which is what I am?

P.S. The video link took me to what Youtube called a "malformed video."
