....but we better not tax them...sigh

this is just wrong...and has been for too long for too many

just a little food for thought.....

The overwhelming majority of the US population is unaware of the vast wealth at hand.
An entire generation of unprecedented wealth creation has been concealed from 99 percent of the population for over 35 years.
Having never personally experienced this wealth, the average American cannot comprehend what is possible if even a fraction of the money was used for the betterment of society.  Given modern technology and wealth, American citizens should not be living in poverty.
The statistics demonstrate that we now live in a neo-feudal society.  In comparison to the wealthiest one-tenth of one percent of the population, who are sitting on top of tens of trillions of dollars in wealth, we are essentially propagandized peasants.

The fact that the overwhelming majority of Americans are struggling to get by,
while tens of trillion of dollars are consolidated within a small fraction of the population,
 is a crime against humanity.
The next time you are stressed out, struggling to make ends meet and pay off your debts, just think about the trillions of dollars sitting in the obscenely bloated pockets of the financial elites.  I still cling to the hope that once enough people become aware of this fact,
we can have the non-violent revolution we so urgently need.
Until then, the rich get richer as a critical mass of increasingly dire economic prospects desperately struggles to make ends meet"

"I've got mine - get your own!"
and
"Me first- screw you!"

These are unfortunately the mottos that best define our country and the attitude of too many people in it.

Ah Julie, I'd love to think more about this topic, but there are some new photos of Kim Kardashian's wedding that I need to look at . . .

My Grandfather warned of this when I was about 12 years of age...he said someday there would be no middle class...only rich and poor people. He had been talking about Unions and the need for them to keep balance. I don't know about that but his words really have come home to roost.

When I see the Tent Cities it makes my heart happy that at least they have somewhere to live, even though the circumstances that got them there is just sooo not right in any sense? Then you hear about cities making them dismantle and I go into anger mode, which does not help I know but nevertheless!

I'm going to check out your link...

May Your Journey be a Gentle Road today and always Dear One!

and let's not forget who owns the media...

Akasa, your Grandfather knew, and the writing has been on the wall for a very long time. For many, many, a life without the basic human rights have not been a reality. Now that it is hitting the middle class change might be in the air...I only hope it isn't too late.

As serfs we actually have it pretty good, but it looks like what we have will soon be taken and then we really will be in feudal times. Ah well...

We have an excellent example of what happens when a country loses its middle class just south of us in Mexico. Desperate people do desperate things.
