A view with a deer...

I haven't posted about her in a while...but she is still here. Really she is heartbreaking. We've found out the she was bottle fed by some kind people who live up the hill from us. However, their kindness has left the Deer very lonely. She isn't domesticated but she isn't really wild either. She seems to have no place in the world. I've spent a lot of time with her and feel her loneliness because she has no companions, and she is afraid at times because she has no companions. We've spoken with a woman who has had special permits to care for wild animals...a lot of deer have passed her way. She thinks the chances are slim to none the deer will find a herd to join. We're thinking because she is not very happy with Maia right now, but always seems exceptionally happy to see me, she has imprinted on me.
The photo of her is one I took the other day of her watching me through the window....She would like to come in...or have me come out to her...

I hope the lady with the wild animals can take her and raise her with other deer.
The picture is really a nice one.

I so wish we had some place to relocate her to, and a safe way to do it….The thing is we would have to tranquilize her…we would have to really know what we’re doing because of the risk to her and her baby should she be pregnant, and if she should wake up at some point she could do a tremendous amount of damage to herself or any humans involved in the move. Plus there is some legality involved in all of this…Fish and Game, rehab people and I don’t know who else frowns on people taking it upon themselves to relocate or even feed wild animals. The key here is that all the “authorities” say she is too old to deal with….she is about 1½. And there is question she would accept other does. It's just sad, and a real case against trying to make a pet of an animal meant to live in the wild.

I was very touched by your post about the "lost & lonely" deer and will pray for the Grace of the Divine to find her some companionship.

I listen to a song often called "Om Hraum Mitraya" by Deva Premal. The song means:

May the light of friendship shine through
me, drawing noble companionship.
Om and Salutations to the feminine
Saraswati principle.

The Feminine Saraswati principle (Shakti) is the power of wisdom and compassion in action. It is nurturing, intuitive, mature and giving. This principle is not exclusive to any gender; it manifests in all beings, male and female and is necessary to cultivate lasting relationships.

Maybe you could get a copy of the song and play it for her when she comes around. I am playing it now while sending out an intent Blessing for her to find some deer companionship : )

Namaste,
Karrie

The song is on two cd's - Dakshina by Deva Premal or a compilation cd by Eckhart Tolle. Here is a link to listen:

Hi Karrie,
Thank you for sharing you feelings about the Deer...she is a beautiful creature and it is soooo hard not to let myself commune with her in a greater way, but I'm still hoping that she will find a herd to go to...and as I said earlier there is something a little off between the Deer and my dog Maia. I will try your prayer.
enjoy, julie
ps...have you read the book Shakti Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand? I think you would enjoy it.

Oooo, she is such a beautiful animal. I can sense the loneliness in her eyes. I know what that is like. It is good that you are there for her, and she for you. It is meant to be. Be in the moment with her. This is opening new doors for you.

1000 Blessings of Good Karma to you.

Deb
